  • It is important for students to learn all the tajweed rules and be able to read the Quran with normal fluency before delving into Islamic studies. Tajweed is the science of reading the Quran with proper pronunciation, intonation, and rhythm. It is essential to learn the tajweed rules to ensure that the Quran is recited with the correct sound and meaning, as errors in pronunciation can change the meaning of the words. Moreover, students should be able to read the Quran with normal fluency, which means they should be able to read without hesitation or stumbling over words. This fluency allows students to focus on the meaning of the Quran and understand its message, which is the ultimate goal of Islamic studies. Therefore, schools should prioritize teaching tajweed and fluency before beginning Islamic studies, as it lays a strong foundation for a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Quran.
